A high school baseball coach for 51 years whose teams have won five Wisconsin state championships, Tom O’Connell took over the reins of ISG in 2010 from his mentor Jim Jones. He has led ISG Clinic teams since 2001 to fourteen European countries, Canada, and New Zealand. The first high school coach to become president of the ABCA, he has served the association in some capacity since the mid-80s either as a Committee Chair, Officer, or Board Member and currently chairs the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award Committee. After spending twenty years as an MLB Envoy Coach in Germany helping develop the game, he joined the ISG Board. O’Connell was inducted into the ABCA Hall of Fame in 2007 having also been enshrined in both the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Old Time Ballplayers Association Halls. In 2020, he received the highest accolade of his long career being named the ABCA Lefty Gomez Award recipient.

Peter Caliendo, a former USA Baseball National Teamcoach, has been with ISG Baseball for 15 years and is currently Vice-President. Having been involved in international baseball in 54 countries during the past 40 years, he also serves on the WBSC Technical Committee.  A creator of 5 instructional coaching DVDs an a book called Youth Baseball Drills, he is a lifetime member of the ABCA and past recipient of their Meritorious Service Award.

A member of the ISG Board since 2004, Randy Town has served the organization as its Secretary/Treasurer. He succeeded ISG Founder Bill Arce as the head coach at Claremont McKenna College and now is the Associate Athletic Director at the school. Town has been a Team Leader for ISG at clinics in Ireland, Norway, and France while also leading ISG sponsored youth travel teams to Europe and China.

After 39 years as the Head Coach at Boston’s Tufts University, John Casey is currently in his first year as the pitching coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Until 2025, he was the pitching coach at Johnson & Wales University where he helped them advance to the 2023 NCAA Regional finals for the first time in school history. One of the most respected leaders in college baseball. Casey served as President of the American Baseball Coaches Association in 2016 and was recently elected Chair of their Board. He has lead clinics in Switzerland and Curacao and presented in Ireland and Sweden since joining the ISG Board in 2018. Coach Casey has been inducted in the ABCA Hall of Fame, the Boston Park League HOF, NEIBA Hall of Fame and most recently the Tufts University Athletics HOF. He often states that his involvement with ISG is the most rewarding of his career, the friendships formed and supporting those who love and develop the game is extremely satisfying and a worthwhile pursuit.

Pat Doyle is a legendary figure in California baseball, renowned for his extensive coaching career at San Joaquin Delta College and his global contributions to the sport. Born in Santa Monica, Doyle was a standout pitcher at Fresno State, where he still holds the record for the second-lowest season ERA (1.31). He briefly played in the Boston Red Sox organization before transitioning into coaching.

Doyle's coaching legacy was primarily built during his 23-season tenure as head coach at Delta College, where he amassed 568 victories and led his teams to 17 playoff appearances. Beyond the collegiate level, he became a "global envoy" for Major League Baseball International, helping to develop baseball programs across Europe, Asia, and Africa. His international resume includes managing or coaching national teams for Ireland, Great Britain, and Israel.

In recognition of his immense impact, Doyle has been inducted into five Halls of Fame, including the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Hall of Fame in 2019. Most recently, he was named the recipient of the 2026 ABCA/Wilson Lefty Gomez Award, one of the highest honors in amateur baseball, for his lifelong service to the game.

Greg Frady, the newest member of the Board, is a highly decorated American baseball coach and professional pickleball player, best known as the winningest head coach in Georgia State University (GSU) history. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has achieved significant success at the collegiate and international levels, including leading the German National Team to over 100 international game victories and a Bronze medal at the 2010 European Championship—their first in 35 years. He recently served as the head coach for the Nanaimo Night Owls, a West Coast League collegiate summer team in British Columbia. He is a member of the German Baseball and Softball Hall of Fame (2016) and the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame (2017).

Since 1994, head coach Stu Fritz has guided the Hope College baseball team to 10 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships, four NCAA Division III tournament appearances, and a 652-482-2 record. A former President of the ABCA, Fritz has also chaired the NCAA Championships Committee. From 1996 to 1998, he coached a youth team through the Roberto Clemente All-Stars program in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the summer. In 2001, he coached a U.S. youth all-star team in Australia and has presented at several ISG clinics in Europe in recent years. An Iowa native, he lettered in football and baseball at his alma mater Wartburg College.

Ron Maestri led the University of New Orleans Privateers baseball squad for 15 years taking them to five NCAA Regionals and the 1983 College World Series  From 1979-2000 he also held the position of Athletic Director as well as working in the front office of the AA New Orleans Zephyrs. An icon in Italy, he has been the Team Leader for ISG Clinics there with few exceptions since 1998. He has been enshrined in many Halls of Fame including the American Baseball Coaches Association, Bradley Athletics, Highwood (Ill.) Sports, Italian-American, Louisiana Sports, New Orleans Sports, Peoria Sports, and the University of New Orleans Sports. Recently he was awarded the ABCA’s highest award being name recipient of the Lefty Gomez Award in 2022.

A 2024 inductee into the ABCA Hall of Fame, ISG Board Member John Vodenlich enters his I 21^st year coaching the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater baseball squad. Always one of the top ranked NCAA D3 programs in the country, the Warhawks under “Vo” have won 14 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and have twice finished as NCAA Div III World Series Champions. A graduate of Whitewater, Vodenlich became the school’s first All-American during his playing career. He has been the Conference Coach of the Year 10 times and been installed in his hometown’s county Hall of Fame. No stranger to international baseball, “Vo” played for club teams in Slovenia and recently has been the coach of the Serbian National squad. He has conducted and presented at clinics in eight countries for ISG.

Jim Jones was an All-Conference baseball player at the University of Wyoming, and has coached College Baseball at Stanford University, University of Wyoming, St. Mary’s College, and Oregon Institution of Technology. He has been involved in international baseball since 1991 with Major League Baseball International and ISG. Coach Jones has spent over 14 summers working with club, academy and national team players and coaches in Czechoslovakia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, and France. In addition to many coaches’ clinics during those summers, Coach Jones has led 57 clinic teams in the offseason to countries throughout the globe. He was recently honored by being enshrined in the Czech Baseball Hall of Fame.
