Tom O'Connell, the first high school coach to serve as President of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), recently retired after an illustrious 51-year career in baseball coaching. From 1969 to 2000, he led Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, where his teams achieved a record number of wins. Following his retirement from teaching, he spent 15 years at Catholic Central High School in Burlington, Wisconsin, where his teams won five state championships and reached the state quarterfinals for ten consecutive years. He later revitalized the baseball program at St. Francis High School.

O'Connell has been named National Coach of the Year three times and Midwest Coach of the Year four times. In 1995, he coached the USA Baseball North Team at the U.S. Olympic Festival, and he has been inducted into five Halls of Fame, including the ABCA Hall of Fame, where he was the 16th high school coach ever inducted.

A leader within the ABCA, O'Connell served as President in 2002 and now sits on its Board of Directors. He is also proud of his contributions to the ABCA Code of Ethics and his ongoing work in international baseball through ISG Baseball.

O'Connell has authored three books, including *Coaching Baseball: Techniques and Tactics*, and has been a frequent speaker at clinics across the U.S., Europe, and New Zealand. He has also scouted for several MLB teams and served as Lead Envoy Coach in Germany for Major League Baseball.

Beyond baseball, O'Connell has been actively involved with Milwaukee Irish Fest, where he has served on its Board of Directors. He and his wife Paula have three children and six grandchildren.

Coach Wolforth has consulted for seven MLB organizations and dozens of NCAA programs. He is a regular featured author in Collegiate Baseball and has been a featured speaker at the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) National Convention five times since 1999 as well as a presenter at the American Sports Medicine Institute's Injuries in Baseball Annual Conference twice. Coach Wolforth and The Texas Baseball Ranch have been featured in Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, Men's Journal, Baseball Digest, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. The documentary, Late Life: The Chien-Ming Wang Story, showcased how Coach Wolforth helped the former Cy Young runner-up return to the Major Leagues after a devastating injury.

His 25+ year passion for uncovering possible constraints and limitations to baseball performance as well as identifying the keys to accelerated growth and development stems from the fact that he was very dissatisfied with the level of his own performance as a college player and vowed to help other athletes avoid his mistakes and instead maximize their God-given potential. Hundreds of elite athletes from all over the world come to Montgomery, TX to work with Coach Wolforth. In 23 seasons as head coach, Pat Doyle’s San Joaquin Delta College teams won more than two-thirds of their games while qualifying for the California State Playoffs 17 times. 
Doyle got his coaching start at Lodi High School and Tokay High School, both in California, before being hired as an assistant baseball coach at San Joaquin Delta College in 1976. He took over as leader of the program the following year and remained head coach through 1999, compiling a 568-274 record (.675). 
Doyle has been very active in the international coaching community, serving as a manager and assistant coach for several teams, working for Major League Baseball International and other organizations. 
For two seasons (1990-91), Doyle also served as manager of the Anchorage (Alaska) Glacier Pilots. After serving as an assistant coach for Team USA in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, he was named head coach for the 1996 Republic of Ireland National team, managed the British national team in the 2010 European Baseball Championship, and was head coach of Team Israel in the 2011 European Baseball Championship Qualifiers. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach for Team Israel alongside head coach Jerry Weinstein in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. 
Doyle also worked as a consultant, coach, and envoy for Major League Baseball International and coordinated the now-defunct MLB Envoy Coach Program from 1993-2011. He helped build baseball fields and coaching programs and worked with players and coaches in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. From 1989-2006, 
Doyle served as President of the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA), which later established the Doyle Scholarship in his honor. He has also been a recipient of the National Baseball Congress Coach of the Year Award (1991) and the European Baseball Coaches Association Coaching Achievement Award. 
Doyle currently serves on the Board of Directors for Play Global! and the International Sports Group (ISG). He has also been an active speaker at numerous baseball clinics at the national and international level. 
In addition to the ABCA Hall of Fame, Doyle is a member of the CCCBCA Hall of Fame, the Stockton Athletics Hall of Fame, the Lodi Athletic Hall of Fame and the Anchorage Glacier Pilot Hall of Fame. The Santa Monica, California native is a graduate of University High School in Los Angeles. Doyle’s college career began at Los Angeles Valley College (Calif.) before transferring to Fresno State University (Calif.) where he was a pitcher. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Fresno State in 1967 and later earned a master’s degree from California State University Sacramento. Following his collegiate playing career, Doyle pitched in the Boston Red Sox organization and for the Lodi Guild Winemasters semi-pro team.
