Craig Anderson is currently the Executive Director of the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association and serves on the Executive Board of the National High School Baseball Coaches Association, where he is also chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee.

He was a four sport athlete in high school, playing baseball, football, basketball, and golf, graduating in 1971.  He went on to pitch for Winona State University, helping them win three Conference championships, graduating in 1975.  He taught Middle School Science from 1976 until 2012 when he became the Activities Director at Pine Island Public Schools in Minnesota, retiring in 2019. He was named Teacher of the Year in 2000.

He was  head baseball coach at Pine Island for 40 years, winning numerous championships at Conference and Section levels, appearing in 4 State Tournaments. He still ranks as one of the winningest coaches in state history.  He also led the Pine Island Summer Baseball Program throughout his career, winning 17 Babe Ruth titles and one American Legion State Championship.

He has been a clinician for numerous clinics over the years, presenting at high school, college, state, and national events.  He has had the opportunity to lead several organizations during his career, serving as President of the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association.

He is a member of several Hall of Fames; Mabel-Canton HS, Pine Island HS, Minnesota HS Baseball Coaches Association, National HS Baseball Coaches Association, Minnesota HS Coaches Association, and the National HS Athletic Coaches Association, who also named him their National HS Baseball Coaches Association’s “Coach of the Year” in 2021.  Minnesota awards the “Craig Anderson - Ethics in Coaching Award” to a baseball coach since 2013.  This past May, Pine Island named their high school field, “Craig Anderson Field”.

He has been married to his wife, Sue, for 53 years.  They have two daughters, Sarah and Rachel, and four grandchildren; Charlie, Ella, Sydney, and Ivy.
